DC Colony, the pioneer housing society in Gujranwala, was initially established to cater to the housing needs of in-service and retired government servants who lacked suitable living accommodations. Recognizing this necessity among its employees, the Punjab Government inaugurated the "Punjab Government Employees Cooperative Housing Scheme" (PGECHS) within Gujranwala city. The selection of Gujranwala for PGECHS was primarily influenced by its burgeoning industrial sector and rapidly advancing infrastructure
The emergence of Gujranwala as a favored investment destination, both domestically and internationally, prompted PGECHS to introduce a housing project named "DC Colony" along Rahwali, G.T Road. This initiative aimed to provide government employees with high-quality living standards in a prime location. Notably, DC Colony Gujranwala stands out as one of the most luxurious residential societies in the region.
Comprising a single phase, DC Colony is further subdivided into distinct extensions, namely Extension I, Extension II, and Extension III. Extensions I and II boast possession-ready plots, accommodating over 4,000 residents. Extension III primarily offers plot files for prospective buyers.
